She has received training in Direct Instruction programs through the Association for Direct Instruction (Eugene, Oregon), and is certified as a DI trainer and coach. She has trained teachers and education professionals in both public and private schools across Ontario. As a teacher, she has specialized in working with children with attentional disorders and other behavioural issues including problems with anxiety and hyperactivity. In more recent years she has proven to be a keen diagnostician, who with attention to detail and insight, has become a real asset to ALA.
