ANGUS LLOYD ASSOCIATES INC. TEXT MESSAGING TERMS OF USE

By "Opting In" to or using a "Text Message Service" (as defined below) from Angus Lloyd Associates Inc., you accept these Terms & Conditions.

This agreement is between you and Angus Lloyd Associates Inc. or one of its affiliates. All references to "Angus Lloyd Associates Inc.," "we," "our," or "us" refer to Angus Lloyd Associates Inc., 8 Lawton blvd Toronto, ON, CA.

DEFINITIONS

"Opting In," "Opt In," and "Opt-In" refer to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, responding to, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages.

"Text Message Service" includes any arrangement or situation in which we send one or more messages addressed to your mobile phone number, including text messages (such as SMS, MMS, or successor protocols or technologies).

CONSENTING TO TEXT MESSAGING

Prior Express Consent Required: By consenting to receive text messages from us, you provide your prior express consent and agree to these Text Messaging Terms and Conditions, as well as our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

Scope of Consent: Your consent applies specifically to receiving communications from Angus Lloyd Associates Inc. for the purpose you agreed to when providing your phone number. Consent is not transferable to third parties.

Double Opt-In Confirmation: After you provide initial consent, we will send you a confirmation message that includes:

  • Our identity as the message sender

  • Clear opt-out instructions (reply STOP)

  • A HELP command for additional information

  • Notification that you are enrolled in our messaging program

  • A brief description of our messaging service

  • Expected message frequency

  • Any associated fees (none from us, but carrier charges may apply)

You must confirm your consent by following the instructions in this confirmation message before we send additional messages.

Consent Records: We maintain detailed records of your consent including timestamps, the method of consent, and campaign details for at least four years.

E-SIGN DISCLOSURE

By agreeing to receive text messages, you also consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent to the use of the electronic record by replying STOP.

We respect your privacy. We only use information you provide through this service to transmit your mobile messages and respond to you. This includes, but isn't limited to, sharing information with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of mobile messages. Angus Lloyd Associates will never share your SMS information with anyone.

No Sale of Information: WE DON'T SELL, RENT, LOAN, TRADE, LEASE, OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER FOR ANY REASON ANY PHONE NUMBERS OR CUSTOMER INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE SERVICE TO ANY THIRD PARTY.

Required Disclosures: We reserve the right to disclose information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.

This Text Message Service Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Text Message Service and isn't intended to modify our general Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference above, which may govern the relationship between you and us in other contexts.

COSTS OF TEXT MESSAGES

We do not charge you for the messages you send and receive via this text message service. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your plan with your wireless or other applicable provider, and you may be charged by your carrier.

FREQUENCY OF TEXT MESSAGES

This Text Messaging Service is for conversational person-to-person communication between you and our employees. Message frequency will vary based on your interaction with our services. We may send you an initial confirmation message and occasional service-related communications. You will not receive more than 2messages per week unless you specifically request additional communications.

OPTING OUT OF TEXT MESSAGES

Multiple Opt-Out Methods Available: You may opt out of receiving text messages through any of the following methods:

  • Reply to any text message with STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE

  • Call our support line at (416) 944-8185

  • Visit our Contact us page and submit an opt-out request

  • Email us at booking@anguslloyd.com with your opt-out request

Opt-Out Processing: We will process your opt-out request immediately and send you a confirmation message. As this is a person-to-person communication service, opt-out requests are specific to each conversation between you and one of our employees and their associated phone number.

Complete Removal: After opting out, you will be removed from all recurring messaging campaigns unless you expressly choose to continue receiving messages from a specific program by providing renewed consent.

Honor All Opt-Out Requests: We will honor all reasonable opt-out requests regardless of the method used and will not send further messages unless you provide renewed express consent.

PROHIBITED CONTENT

We do not send messages containing:

  • Adult content, including sexual content

  • Hate speech, harassment, or offensive content

  • Promotional content for alcohol, firearms, tobacco, gambling, or contests (unless legally compliant)

  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content

  • Malware or malicious content

  • Content promoting unlawful activities

MESSAGE CONTENT STANDARDS

  • All messages will clearly identify Angus Lloyd Associates Inc. as the sender

  • We will not use misleading sender information (anti-spoofing compliance)

  • Messages will be relevant to the purpose for which you provided consent

  • We do not send unsolicited promotional or marketing messages

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

We comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws regarding text messaging, including but not limited to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and industry standards established by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA).
